Brett E. Blumstein, Esq.
Attorney Brett E. Blumstein, founder of the law offices of Brett E. Blumstein, P.C., was born and raised in Southern California. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics at U.C. Irvine and received his Law degree from Loyola Law School. He is a member of the California State Bar.
Mr. Blumstein concentrates his legal practice on personal injury cases, employment cases, federal employee issues, and intellectual property cases. He has counseled and assisted injured individuals statewide and injured employees globally. He has also founded Federal Esquire, a division of his firm specifically devoted to assisting federal employees. Mr. Blumstein is dedicated to ensuring that all of his clients receive competent legal assistance.
Jerl Leutz, Esq.
Jerl Leutz has practiced law since 2007. In the past, Mr. Leutz worked in another challenging capacity, as a civil litigator. Being a litigator allowed Jerl to hone his analytical skills, and he simultaneously built a new skillset that has evolved into, among other things, addressing and defending the special needs of disabled workers in Social Security matters.
Mr. Leutz also maintains an independent business law practice of his own, which touches upon intellectual property, corporate practice, employment practices, internet business, and related transactional disciplines.
Mr. Leutz is admitted to practice in both the State Courts of California and the Federal Courts of the Central, Southern and Northern Districts of the Ninth Circuit in California. He is fluent in Spanish.
Donald A. MacKay, Esq.
Attorney Donald A. MacKay has been practicing law for more than twenty years. He is experienced in a broad array of areas including Labor & Employment matters under Equal Employment Opportunity/Title VII, Family Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Congressional Accountability Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act/Amendment Act, and the National Labor Relations Act. Mr. MacKay also practices in the areas of personal injury, bankruptcy, immigration, residential & small business real estate advising, and general litigation before both state and federal courts. He has represented labor union members and Congressional employees in matters before the Office of Compliance in Washington, DC.
Mr. MacKay’s extra-legal interests and experience include information technology, gemology, amateur “ham” radio, cooking, and motorcycling. He has held real estate brokerage and/or agents licenses in multiple states, has been certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in diamond grading, and is presently riding his sixth motorcycle, a 2001 Honda Magna.
Mr. MacKay is presently admitted to practice law before the courts of California, Washington DC, Maryland and Wisconsin.
Jason Cole, Esq.
Attorney Jason Cole has approximately 12 years of civil litigation experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of legal matters, including: personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, products liability, transportation, professional liability (medical malpractice, real estate/insurance broker/agent negligence), employment, insurance matters, construction defect, ADA and related state claims, real estate and business/commercial disputes (contracts, intellectual property, unfair business practices).
Having worked as a defense attorney for the first 10 years of his legal career, Mr. Cole brings a unique perspective and ability to effectively and efficiently navigate legal disputes and deliver excellent results for his clients.
Mr. Cole received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1995. He received his law degree in 2001 from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
Monique Jackson-Fitzgerald graduated cum laude from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Governmental Administration. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law in Richmond, Virginia and is admitted to practice in both California and Virginia.
Prior to relocating to California Monique was a practicing attorney for five years in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Monique served as the Assistant County Attorney for Gloucester County where she advised county boards, agencies and officers on legal matters related to land use regulations, zoning regulation interpretation, election law, county code enforcement, and animal control laws.
Monique went on to work as an associate for a well-regarded Trusts and Estates firm with offices in Yorktown and Urbanna Virginia. As an Associate Attorney for Trustbuilders Law Group, she co-wrote and edited statewide continuing education materials for estate planning that were published in the Virginia State Bar Publication. A significant part of her practice involved developing and presenting estate planning seminars to the community.
As an attorney and persuasive communications expert, Monique has consistently utilized her resourcefulness to craft successful litigation strategies and to develop comprehensive estate plans for her clients.
